Nilenesia Foundation and STAIN Majene Sign MoU Amid the Momentum of International Seminar

Majene — The atmosphere at the 5th-floor TPD Hall of STAIN Majene on Thursday, December 11, 2025, was livelier than usual. From early morning, hundreds of participants filled the venue to attend the International Seminar themed “Geopolitics and International Harmony: Indonesia’s Strategic Role in Global Diplomacy for Peace in the Prabowo Era.” More than 500 attendees gathered, marking one of the institution’s most significant academic events of the year.

Adding weight to the occasion, several distinguished figures were seen among the audience. Farid F. Saenong, Ph.D, Coordinator of the Special Staff of the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs; Dr. Tageldin Ahmed Saeed Abbas from Sudan; and Dr. Muhammad El Rouby AbdulAzim, an educational envoy from Egypt, participated with keen interest throughout the program. Abdallah Hamad Elmagboul, Founder of the Nilenesia International Foundation, was also present to accompany a long-prepared moment of collaboration.

That pivotal moment came when Nilenesia International Foundation and STAIN Majene officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a five-year partnership. In front of the attendees, Abdallah Hamad Elmagboul and the Rector of STAIN Majene, Prof. Dr. Wasilah, S.T., M.T., affixed their signatures, symbolizing a shared commitment to advancing international cooperation.

The MoU outlines a broad spectrum of collaborative initiatives, including student mobility programs, joint academic activities, collaborative research and publications, as well as capacity-building initiatives for faculty, staff, and students. Both parties also agreed to work together on community empowerment projects, SME development, and language or competency-based training. Although non-binding in nature, the agreement serves as a crucial foundation for future, more specific arrangements (MoA), particularly those requiring financial and technical planning.

For STAIN Majene, the partnership represents a strategic step toward elevating its academic landscape in response to global challenges. Meanwhile, for Nilenesia Foundation, the collaboration reinforces its role as a bridge connecting Indonesia with the international community in the fields of education and social development.

The international seminar thus became more than a forum for discussing geopolitics and global harmony—it also witnessed the birth of a partnership expected to deliver tangible benefits for students, academics, and the wider community.
